The St. Louis Independent Comics Expo (SLICE) is back for its fourth year of arts programming. The expo will return to the Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries on October 31, 2026, with monthly events and workshops leading to the expo beginning in April.

As a 501c3 nonprofit organization (Tax ID 38-4256069), SLICE supports St. Louis’s small press community through workshops, artist meetups, and a yearly expo to foster independent print culture in St. Louis. With the help of your organization, we can develop a bigger following for independent press, increase our fundraising efforts, organize more events, and invite more special guests.

EXPO SPONSORSHIPS

Tier 1: Single Slice ($100)

For $100 or at least the equivalent in-kind donation, your logo, provided images (up to 3), and provided copy will be posted on our social media pages in the lead-up to the expo, starting in late September through mid-October. In 2025, each sponsorship social media post got an average of 1.7k views on our Instagram channel (6k followers and growing).

Tier 2: Half Pie ($250)

For $250 or at least the equivalent in-kind donation, your organization will be listed as one of our official sponsors. Your organization’s name and logo will be featured on our website, opening night slideshow, and program guide. Your logo, provided images (up to 3), and provided copy will be posted on our social media pages in the lead-up to the event.

Note: This year, the Half Pie sponsorship has been reduced in price to $250 and the option for a half-table in the Sponsor Hall has been removed.

Tier 3: Full Pie ($500)

For $500 or at least the equivalent in-kind donation, your organization will be listed as one of our official sponsors. Your organization’s name and logo will be featured on our website, opening night slideshow, and program guide. Your logo, provided images (up to 3), and provided copy will be posted on our social media pages in the lead-up to the event. If interested, Full Pie sponsors can also have a table set up during the day of the event (manned or unmanned) in our sponsorship area. Further accommodations can be discussed depending on the nature of your support.

Tier 4: Pizza Party ($1000)

For $1000 or at least the equivalent in-kind donation, we will work with you on custom partnership opportunities in addition to the benefits received for a Full Pie sponsorship.

EVENT SPONSORSHIPS

In addition to the Annual Expo, SLICE hosts multiple smaller events each month, from April through September. New in 2026, these events now have their own sponsorship opportunities.

Drink and Draw Event Sponsor ($100 per event)

On the last Thursday of each month, from April through September, SLICE hosts a Drink and Draw community-building event at Alamo Drafthouse. This $100 event sponsorship gets you your logo and provided copy in the social media advertisements for the event, and your organization will be listed as the sponsor for that event in our newsletter.

Sponsorship of a Drink & Draw is the best way to promote your business or event to SLICE’s audience between April and September.

Comics University Event Sponsor ($250 for 6 events)

SLICE runs Comics University, a free summer program created and coordinated by SLICE president Steenz since 2013. Every Wednesday in June and July, attendees learn about a topic in the comics industry from professors, creators, scholars, and industry professionals. In 2025, each class hosted between 20-25 attendees for a total of 133 attendees, not counting livestream views. This $250 event sponsorship gets you your logo in the social media advertisements for the event, onscreen at the beginning of each class, and your organization will be listed as the sponsor for the series in our newsletter and website.

SLICE Fundraising Event TBA ($100)

This summer, SLICE will be hosting our first ticketed fundraising event. This event will feature trivia, a silent auction, and a drag performance. This $100 event sponsorship gets you your logo in the social media advertisements for the event, and your organization will be listed as a sponsor for that event in our newsletter.

Opening Night Event Sponsor ($250)

The night before the Expo, SLICE hosts an Opening Night party at the Sheldon Ballroom attended by local creatives, print arts enthusiasts, arts supporters, and out-of-town creatives tabling at the expo. In 2025, we hosted 130 attendees at Opening Night. This celebration includes a panel discussion with our special guests, the presentation of our Best In Show Award, expo poster release and artist signing, a raffle, and food and drink.

This exclusive $250 event sponsorship gets you your logo in the social media advertisements for the event, newsletter, and website; in the Opening Night slideshow; a sponsorship callout from the podium; and a table for your organization at Opening Night.
