SLICE Gets Spooky for 2026 Expo
The St. Louis Independent Comics Expo (SLICE) is back for another season of arts programming, culminating in its titular expo on Halloween. The expo will return to the haunted Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries on October 31, 2026, with monthly events and workshops beginning in April. In the spirit of spooky season, SLICE encourages attending the expo in costume!
SLICE will kick off its fourth season with three free, public events in April. On April 11, join SLICE and the VLAA for an LLC Clinic at the City Foundry. Register with coupon code MRSLICE26 for free entry while space is available. On April 25, SLICE and the Saint Louis Poetry Center will collaborate for a new Sip & Scribe event at the High Low. SLICE’s monthly Drink & Draw also returns to the Alamo Drafthouse April 30 and will recur on the last Thursday of each month through September.
This year’s special guests are illustrator and cartoonist Nicole Goux, indie publisher WildStar Press, and St. Louis–based storyteller Crystal Odelle. SLICE’s special guests will continue the tradition of headlining the expo, providing specialized programming, and participating in the opening night panel discussion.
SLICE also has a new sponsorship structure for those interested in supporting the nonprofit. In addition to its Single Slice, Half Pie, Full Pie, and Pizza Party tiers, SLICE is also seeking sponsors to support its Drink & Draw events, Comics University series, and the expo weekend’s Opening Night Reception. If you’re interested in supporting SLICE, please reach out to info@slicexpo.org.
Exhibitor applications for SLICE open on June 1 and will close on July 15. For more information and announcements on upcoming workshops, special guests, and more, visit SLICE’s website and follow SLICE on Instagram, Bluesky, and Facebook.
